Lagoon Dredging Cheshire

Residues from sand and gravel extracton at the quarry leads to a periodic silt removal process.  The settlement lagoons allow for the unwanted material to collect and require dredging for maintenance.

Scope of Works

WM Plant Hire carry out the silt removal periodically to maintain the pools capacity and function.  Excavated silt from the lagoon is spread locally to the pool and graded for drying out and landscaping.

A long reach excavator with up to 24m outreach and 16m dig depth is used to dredge the perimeter of the lagoon.  Where required the grading of the lagoon is accurately measured using the on-board computerised underwater dig profile system.  Planning and communication with th Quarry manager ensures that the work is done safely and effectively to meet the Client's needs.
