April 2017

Highway improvements at the A379 Sandy Park Junction 30 of the M5 are nearing completion with WM Plant Hire's huge long reach machine brought in to place topsoil as part of the landscaping. SWH Civils are working on the £2.5 million upgrade to improve safety and accessibility to the rugby club and the new development in the Newcourt area of Exeter.  This 100 tonne machine with a reach of 30 metres, the longest in the country, was supplied to work from the top of the highway embankment to minimise any disruption to traffic, proving a very effective and safe method of operation.
