BAM Nuttall, along with BAM Ritchies and their supply chain, installed more than 2,000 nails and bolts with steel mesh to stabilise the rock cutting at Bearsted, Kent during a nine-day closure of the railway. WM Plant Hire supplied their fuel-efficient operated CASE CX370 to carry out nailing operations from the top of the cutting which finished ahead of time, as well as the 16m zero tail swing to assist with vegetation removal within the blockade time constraints.
