22 and 25m long reach machines on Canvey Island Tidal Denfences

WM Plant Hire’s CAT 345 25m and CASE CX370 22m long reach have been deployed to support important improvements and renewal of revetment tidal defences along a 3km stretch of the southern shoreline on Canvey Island. These works form part of a 10 year Environment Agency programme to replace tidal flood defences in the Thames Estuary. Working from behind sea walls the ample reach provided by both machines is allowing Hesselberg Hydro to distribute and grade the specialist asphalt across the revetment.
