As part of an upgrade at a sewage treatment works in Walsall Wood a long reach was required for some underwater deep excavation works in a shaft requiring a breaker.
The removal of underwater obstructions was a critical operation to ensure that the piling works were not delayed at Liverpool2 port development.

The 115 tonne CAT excavator with 30m reach was mobilised to the Port of Southampton for essential maintenance dredging work. Fitted with an underwater GPS dig system the machine was able to ‘spot dredge’ the areas that would pose a problem for ships to berth safely.
Works are progressing well on the underwater excavation works on the new Forth Road Bridge in Scotland.
