Stabilisation of a rock slope on the A38 major trunk road near Plymouth required a machine capable of lifting a 2 tonne soil nail mast and drill rig.

The CAT 375 has been involved in essential dredging operations at the Port of Felixstowe, the largest container port in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.

As part of the environmental improvements at Cavendish Dock, a new footway and cycle path is to be constructed around the dock basin.

Heavy duty CAT 375 needed at the Port of Southampton to remove a concrete slab with an underwater breaker.

A new Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is under construction at Newhaven with a deep shaft forming part of the processing plant.

A landslip on the Wolverley Canal prompted swift action by British Waterways to remove the obstruction from the water and re-grade the embankment.

As the largest of its type in the UK, the CAT 375 is being used for maintenance dredging operations on the River Thames to ensure deep water is available at the Calor Gas berthing facility.

Work using the 95 tonne CAT 375 and the 60 tonne CAT 345 long reach machines on the redevelopment of the busy Port of Felixstowe is well underway by Costain, with extensive marine work in progress.

A recent flooding event has deposited gravel and other debris in the channel of the River Severn at Shrewsbury.
