Working for South Staffordshire Council on an environmental improvement scheme, WM Plant Hire are clearing silt and vegetation from the Wyrley Branch Canal.

The 40 tonne 22m reach long reach excavator has been working from the deck of the famous Mersey Mammoth vessel at the busy port of Heysham.

Work on the final phase of the Coalbrookdale Watercourse Project is using long reach excavators for a different application – backfill around recent archaeological excavations.

WM Plant Hire has taken delivery of a brand new Caterpillar 345C long reach excavator from Cat dealer Finning.
